Refund Policy for Services Template
Your refund policy for services & products will vary depending on your business model.
For example, a service provider generally includes their refund policy in their work for hire agreement. However, if you sell digital products, membership sites, or if you’re an affiliate marketer then it’s good to have a policy that you can publish on your website. The following are simple policies for a variety of business models. We’ve also included example policies from ClickBank and JVZoo, for affiliate marketers.

Given the nature of downloadable digital items, we do not generally offer a refund or credit on a purchase. If you would like to request a refund or credit, please fill out this
(NAME OF FORM). We will assess your request. However, we do not offer refunds or credits for the following situations:

- A refund. They might include things like
- you have changed your mind about an item,
- you bought an item by mistake,
- you have lost the digital file.

If you are not 100% satisfied with your purchase, simply contact us for a refund or a replacement within (number of days). (Note: If you have shipping costs, you might deduct those from the refund.)
- Subscription or Membership Site Refund Policy
Subscription/membership fees are non-refundable; however, you may cancel renewed subscription by contacting (Name of company) within (Number of days) after renewal date to receive a full refund of the new subscription fees.

CLICKBANK’S PRODUCT RETURN POLICY:
Our return policy for all ClickBank products is as follows:
ClickBank allows each vendor to determine the appropriate return, replacement or cancellation policy for its products (each a “Vendor Return Policy”). See the Client Contract (Section 3(a)), for more information. Each vendor will make its Vendor Return
Policy readily available to customers prior to purchase of a product. If the applicable Vendor allows for returns, replacements or cancellations, ClickBank will allow for the return or replacement of any product purchased using the ClickBank services in accordance with the applicable Vendor Return Policy. For recurring billing products, returns for more than one payment may be provided if requested within the time stated in the Vendor Return Policy.
Customers requesting a return after expiration of the return period set forth in the applicable Vendor Return Policy will be required to work directly with the vendor for technical support or customer service. Vendors may request a return, on behalf of a customer, of any purchase up to 90 days after the date of the ClickBank customer’s purchase.
If a customer requests a return and the return is approved by ClickBank, the money for the requested transaction is refunded back to the customer, in part or whole. If the return is for a recurring billing product, then the return policy allows the most recent payment to be refunded. Multiple payment returns can be provided as long as they are within the applicable Vendor Return Policy. A return on a recurring billing product will also result in cancellation. Returns will only be credited back to the account used to make the original purchase. If the original account has been closed, the purchase is not eligible for return.
When a product is returned, the customer generally receives a full refund. Payouts from that sale are debited back out of the corresponding vendor and affiliate accounts. Due to the digital format of ClickBank products, when a product is returned the customer retains the product and, in many cases, the customer has received a benefit from the product prior to the return. In such cases, ClickBank reserves the right to issue a refund for less than the full purchase price.
- JVZoo Current Refund / Replacement Policy
In the event of a refund, JVZoo will refund all the fees it has charged to facilitate the transaction excluding fees charged by PayPal, which are refunded at PayPal’s discretion.
Customer refers to anyone that has bought a product through the JVZoo network/system, not to customers of the network itself who are defined as Vendors or Affiliate (see below).
As a customer, you should consult with the vendor of any product to establish what your refund/guarantee rights are. We encourage all vendors to list this clearly on their sales page but it doesn’t always happen.
To claim your refund you should contact the support department of the company who sold you the product. Their contact information is on the receipt of your purchase.
