The practice of online reputation management is equally important to a personal brand or a company brand & we make it a point to make a distinction between each. Coming across this article was refreshing as it good to see the big firms are thinking about the same things we are.
Everyone should have their online reputation under their own control – to the full degree of possibility. You hear stories about business being destroyed by a bad review (on 1 site), well although less public, this is an even bigger problem if it hits on a personal level.
We dont often consider our own online reputation. There is often talk of deciding on a personal or company brand in terms of “branding” a business or product. But, it is so very important that you get into the mind-frame of personal vs company brand. Be clear, this is not meant to creating competing brands, not at all, the separation of these these brands – at the individual level – is what is important.
